Carden Academy’s Middle School is designed to provide students at a critical juncture in their development with a program that continues to challenge them academically while providing them with the structure and moral guidance they need. In Carden’s safe and reassuring atmosphere, children grow and mature into young adults ready to face the challenges of high school.
The students enjoy small group instruction and receive individual attention to ensure they are meeting their academic goals. SAT testing occurs annually, as does BASI testing.
At Carden Academy, we recognize that community service and experience with student government are keys to a well-rounded education. Carden’s Student Council meets weekly, planning student activities and assessing the success of their efforts. Through mentoring activities and Leadership Conferences, they learn valuable life skills. All Middle School students are given monthly opportunities to serve their local community and school community through such experiences such as Coastal Cleanup, philanthropic visits to local rest homes, and our Big Buddy/Little Buddy program.
Our graduates who set their sites on attending private or parochial schools have gone on to attend premier private high schools throughout the Bay Area, including Bellarmine, St. Francis, Mitty, Notre Dame, Presentation, Harker, and Robert L. Stevenson and prestigious colleges across the country. Carden graduates are well prepared for higher education, both academically and socially, with a strong sense of who they are and what they want to achieve in life.
