1) Is Carden Academy affiliated with any religious group?
No, Carden Academy is non-sectarian.

2) How do I enroll my child at Carden Academy?
The first step is to call for an evaluation. You will then need to submit an Application for Evaluation or fill one out at the time of your appointment. Within one or two days of the evaluation, and usually immediately following, you will be informed as to the status of your applicant. Once the contract has been signed and your deposit has been paid, your student’s place for the following year is secured.

3) What is involved in Carden’s evaluation process?
It really depends on your child’s age. For the young ones, the evaluation typically lasts 30 minutes and is designed to guage a child’s readiness for school. For the older students, the evaluations are more academic in nature to allow us to correctly understand your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses.

4) Do you accept students year-round or must we wait until Fall?
Provided we have room, we accept students at any time during the school year. Tuition is prorated based on actual school days remaining in the year.

5) What are the school’s hours?
Our regular school hours are 8:30 to 3:30. We also provide extended care beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continuing after school until 6:30 p.m.

6) How old does my child have to be?
Our Jr. Kindergarten program is designed for children who are about 4 years old, although we have had some begin at 3 1/2 and others wait until they are close to 5.

7) What is your cut-off date for Kindergarten admissions?
We do not admit children based on birthday. If your child is turning 5, we would be happy to assess their readiness for Kindergarten.
